FOR SALE

SALES POLICIES

All down payments, regardless of the amount, are non-refundable.

Buyer assumes responsibility for any and all animals purchased as soon as they leave the premises. Buyer understands this means that when the animal leaves the farm, regardless of transportation method, Highet Hills is no longer beholden to the welfare of the animal. If the animal leaves the farm, the Buyer is in agreement that said animal is in good health and Highet Hills bears no responsibility for injury, illness, or death of the animal. The buyer is responsible for all transportation fees and organization. ALL purchased animals MUST be picked up by 3-4 weeks of age as bottle babies.

Highet Hills reserves the right to refuse to sell an animal for any reason at any point during the process.

All kids will be disbudded. If a buyer wishes to purchase a horned buckling/wether, the full purchase price must be paid, and the animal must be picked up by 2 weeks of age as a bottle baby, and will only be let go as unregistered. Highet Hills does not offer horned Does of any age. Regarding disbudded animals: there is no way to guarantee that there will be no scur growth. Scur maintenance is up to the buyer.

Age permitting, any animals sold will be UTD on CD&T vaccination and will offer the buyer the option of running an in-house fecal OR a single dose of Cydectin or Valbazen on the day of pick-up. The stress of transport can sometimes cause a worm bloom. Any deworming maintenance or needs after the animal leaves the farm is up to the buyer.

Highet Hills does annual disease testing on the entire herd (age permitting). These results can be requested for viewing by buyers of animals at any time. Testing is typically done at the beginning of every year.

Prices vary depending upon the quality of animals after birth and an overall assessment.

ABBREVIATION MEANINGS

Pend. = status has been achieved; we are just waiting for ADGA and/or AGS to catch up in their records so that this reflects on official paperwork.

*M = ADGA milk star, achieved by meeting milking standards in 1-3 categories (Milk pounds, protein, or butterfat). A number preceding this would indicate which generation they are a part of. A first-generation doe acquiring her milk star would be represented as 1*M. Her doe, if earned a star, would then be a 2*M and so on.

*B = This will only ever be awarded to bucks. In order for a buck to carry his *B, his Dam must have a *M for meeting ALL 3 category requirements, and his sire MUST also be a *B.

+B = Also only ever awarded to bucks. Buck must have three daughters from three different Does achieve milk star status.

CH = a prefix given to any goat who has won three ADGA-sanctioned show legs.

SG = Superior Genetic prefix. This is awarded to goats who have been recognized for their genetic superiority based on the results of participation in ADGA's performance program. Based on milk test records and LA evaluation scores.
